Export

To export pricing and availability information, click the “Export Data or Create a Template” link

Select which pricing level to export, select which products to export. Use radio buttons to select Active or All products and then Click the “Next” button at the bottom of the window.

Choose the data points to include in the export and click the “Next/Confirm” button.

Choose to either export all data or select only certain information based on either date pricing was updated or last inventory date. Clicking “Next/Export” will export data, clicking “Save Template” will allow the export to be re-run again in the future.

Selected data will then be exported to a CSV file.

Import

To import pricing and/or inventory data, click to select or drag your file into the window and click the “Next” button.

Choose the Pricing Level you wish to import and then map the columns the file to the following system fields – Product Code, Item Number, Price, Suggested Retail Price, Cost, Sale Price and Stock Position. Click “Next”

A preview of the import will be displayed based on criteria selected. Check the box to confirm the import and the Email Import Summary Report to receive an email with import details if you wish. Click “Next”.

At this point, you may exit the screen and continue working while the import processes.

Product Type Definitions

There are four (4) different product types available in the platform:

1. General – a simple product which may have one or more variants, all of which either do not rely on the application guide, and/or all fit the same application. Click here for an example.
   
2. Product Line – for products that have many different permutations with complex applications and fitment requirement. For example, products such as fitted accessories (ex. a floor mat) may have thousands of different skus associated with them, each of which may “fit” a different application. Product lines use configurators to guide the shopper to the correct part, item or sku. Click here for an example.
   
3. Parts List/Diagram – These products do not have any skus that are directly related to them. Instead, the have relationships to skus in other products in order to create a list. For example, a parts list may be used for repair instructions where several skus may be required to complete the repair. Rather than shop for each product individually, the parts list allows all parts to sell together. Similarly, diagrams allow product managers to construct diagrams with parts shared among several applications to prevent data duplication. One part or sku many fit many diagrams. 4. Collection – finally a collection is like a mini-category where all the underlying parts or skus are pulled into a hybrid product. Collections have relationships to General products and aggregate all the sku and parts contained among them into a single ordering experience.

Slug

A slug is the unique identifying part of a web address.  This slug will be used to create a unique URL for the product.

Product Type

There are four types of products in EBIZPLATFORM:

1. Basic – a basic product would typically be a single item that may come in different sizes or colors.
   
2. Collection – a grouping of finished goods.
   
3. Diagram/List – a grouping of many skus with specified quantities or necessary items required to build or repair a finished good.
   
4. Product Line – A product line is a single product that comes in many permutations that typically require a configurator to narrow the selection.

Edit Product

General product properties may be edited from the main product screen.  Upon completing changes, click the Save button in the top, right corner.

Items, SKUs & Variants

This tile gives a view into all items that are associated with the product including item number, description and pricing.  Items may be added, edited and deleted form this screen (see Managing Items).

Content

Add descriptions and additional content to your products using the EBIZPLATFORM WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) tool.  In addition to the long description (1), add an alternate description (2) and any number of additional content pieces (3) that you’d like.

Additional Images & Video

In addition to the main product images, add additional images and video to help sell your products.  Additional images and video may also contain captions.

Catalogs & Categories

Determine which catalogs and categories your product will be appear.   Products may live in one or many catalogs and categories.

Documentation

Attach documents such as installation instructions, specifications and user manuals to your products.

Service Articles

Choose service articles to associate with your product.  Service articles could be anything from installation instructions to FAQs.

Applications

Select and view applications that have fitment associated with the product.

Configuration Wizard

Use the configuration wizard to filter results based on applications to find correct fitment and identify fitment gaps.

Display, Search & Visibility

Choose various display settings and rules which determine how the product will be displayed and populate meta tags.

Modifiers

Add modifiers to products to allow customers to choose specific properties (size, color, etc).

Attributes

Set specific properties of the product so product can be compared easily to similar products.

Relationships

Configure specific add-on and suggested product relationships to other products with ability to include cross-selling discounts.

Localization

View and create product in other languages.

Workflow

View list of adjustments to product content and workflow.

New items can be created either from the product screen or by clicking on the Item Master and then on the “+New Item” button.

Edit Item

General item information can be edited by navigating to the item:

1. General information – can be adjusted by updating information and clicking the “Save” button in the top-right of the screen.
   
2. Images may be added/edited by dragging and dropping a new image into the image area or by clicking the orange Edit icon in the image area.

Identifiers & Characteristics

Enter all identifiers that the item may be searched by including other OEM and aftermarket part numbers.

Pricing

Manage pricing properties including ability to manage multiple pricing levels, set sale pricing (and timing).

Inventory

Manage stock position as well as inventory and ordering rules.

Shipping & Tax

Set shipping and taxation rules such as shipping dimensions and tax codes.

Fitment

Associate applications with specific items to help partners and customers select the correct items.

Products

Items may be associated with one or many products.

Attributes

Set item specific attributes that can be used for filtering and comparison shopping.

Export

To export product and item data, click the “Export Data or Create a Template” link

Choose what type of export you would like (Template Only will export column headers so that you can add new application data and import back into the system).  Choose how you whether you’d like to export specific products, categories of products or the entire product catalog in the “Export by” dropdown.  Click Next.

Choose which fields you would like to include in the export.  Click Next

Choose any attributes to be included in the export (if applicable).

Note: Recommendations will be made where possible, depending on products to be exported.

See a preview of your export, choose whether to get all data, only data that has been modified during a selected time period, or only get new data since the last time the export was run. 

Note: You may save a template that can be used to expedite the field selection process for future imports.

Upon clicking “Next/Export” data will be exported to CSV which may be viewed and saved to your desktop.

Import

To import product and item data, click to select or drag your file into the window and click the Next button.

Choose the action you wish to perform and then map the fields from your spreadsheet to the system and click Next.

CREATE – Create new items, skip items that already exist.
MERGE – Create new items, update items that already exist
DELETE – Delete items from file.

See a preview of the action you are about to perform, click the Confirm checkbox and choose whether or not you’d like to receive an emailed summary when the import has completed and click Next.

Export

To export application data, click the “Export Data or Create a Template” link.  Click Next

Choose what type of export you would like (Template Only will export column headers so that you can add new application data and import back into the system).  Choose which products/items you would like to export fitment infromation for.   You may also filter by specific makes and models if desired.  Click Next.

Choose which data points you would like included in the export and how you would like the data grouped.  Click Next/Confirm.

See a preview of your export, choose whether to get all data, only data that has been modified during a selected time period, or only get new data since the last time the export was run.  

Note: You may save a template that can be used to expedite the export process for future exports.

Upon clicking “Next/Export” data will be exported to CSV which may be viewed and saved to your desktop.

Import

To import application data, click to select or drag your file into the window and click the “Next” button.

Choose the action you wish to perform and then map the columns from your file to the system and click Next.

Action:

CREATE – will create new fitment and skip records that already exist.
MERGE – will create new fitment and update information for records that already exist.
DELETE – will delete fitment included in file
Application Data Handling:
STRICT – will only assign applications that already exist.  Applications that do not exist will be noted.  This is recommended.LOOSE – will create new applications if they do not exist.  This may cause duplicate or bad data (example: RAV-4 vs RAV4)
